Vintage Japanese Kimono Nagagi — Olive Khaki Chirimen Texture

This is a kimono that doesn’t announce itself. The colour is a deep, grounded olive — khaki with a green undertone, the kind of shade that works with almost everything and flatters almost everyone. What makes it interesting is the surface: a fine chirimen texture, a subtle all-over relief that gives the fabric movement and visual depth, making it read as considerably more luxurious than a flat plain weave ever could.

The cut is classic nagagi — long, fluid, with that characteristic wide sleeve that drapes beautifully whether worn traditionally or thrown open over jeans with a leather belt. It falls equally well on any body. No gender, no rules — just a very good garment.

The lining is clean and intact. Condition is excellent vintage — no critical flaws.

Wear it as a robe, a duster coat, a layering piece over a dress or trousers, or belted as a statement jacket. One of those pieces that quietly elevates whatever it’s worn with.
